Alcithoe

Alcithoe is an Australasian genus of volutes bearing an elongate, fusiform shell with a thickened, reflexed outer lip and strong plaits on the columella. Members of the subgenus Palomelon are distinguished by the lack of a fasciole (Weaver & duPont 1970).
