The Basiliolidae are a family of smooth or semicostate brachiopods known from the Cretaceous to the present (Ager et al. 1965).
Characters (Ager et al. 1965): Smooth or semicostate; conjunct deltidial plates and small auriculate foramen; well-developed pedicle collar; broad falcifer crura supported by outer hinge plates or socket ridges; median septum in brachial valve reduced to ridge or absent.
