Diplasiocoela

Mababe puddle frog Phrynobatrachus mababiensis, copyright Judy Gallagher.

Belongs within: Neobatrachia.
Contains: Microhylidae, Laurentobatrachia, Saukrobatrachia, Pyxicephalidae, Ptychadenidae.

The Diplasiocoela are a clade of frogs supported by molecular analysis with many basal lineages having an African distribution (Feng et al. 2017). The basal Sooglossidae are small to medium-sized frogs with modified arciferal pectoral girdles that are endemic to the Seychelles (Nussbaum & Wu 2007).
