Globotextulariidae

Lateral, apertural and sectioned views of Remesella mariae, from Loeblich & Tappan (1987).

Belongs within: Loftusiida.

The Globotextulariinae are a group of trochoid Foraminifera known from the Cretaceous to the present. The test is trochospiral with three or more chambers per whorl in early stages at least, potentially with fewer chambers in later stages. The aperture is a single interiomarginal opening (Loeblich & Tappan 1964).
