Ilybius

Belongs within: Agabinae.

Ilybius is a genus of diving beetles in the tribe Agabini. Females of species of Ilybius have hydroporine-type genitalia and a lateral or dorsolateral carina on the gonocoxa. This carina is dentate in species related to Ilybius subaeneus; species in which the carina is not dentate were previously classified in the related genus Agabus (Miller 2001).
