Melanozetes

Melanozetes is a genus of oribatid mites found in the Holarctic and Ethiopian regions (Subías 2004).

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992): Prodorsum with lamellae present, translamella absent. Notogaster with fourteen pairs of setae; four pairs of areae porosae; pteromorphae immovable. Six pairs of genital setae; one pair of aggenital setae; two pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae. Legs tridactyle.
