The Microhylinae are a clade of frogs found in southern and eastern Asia. Potential synapomorphies include the absence of the vena caudalis dorsalis; origin of the m. suspensoriohyoideus from the otic capsule; and posterolateral projections of the crista parotica as expansive flat chondrifications (Frost et al. 2006).
