The Ophiotrichidae are a family of stout-toothed brittle stars with quadrangular, spiniform tooth papillae clustered at the apex of each jaw, and no oral papillae. Their fossil record is limited with questionable exemplars from the Lower Jurassic (Spencer & Wright 1966).
