Pheretima

Pheretima is a genus of earthworms found in southeast Asia, Australia and South America.

Characters (Jackson 1931): More than eight setae per segment. Spermathecal pores 1–6 pairs between segments 3–9. One gizzard in segment 8 or between septa 7/8 and 10/11. Micronephridial. Seminal funnels contained in sperm reservoirs. Spermathecal gland with branching lumen. Penial setae absent.
