Inflorescence a cyme, generally more or less open; pedicels generally more or less straight. Flower with hypanthium more or less shallow; bractlets 5; sepals generally 5, more or less triangular; petals generally 5, generally the same size as or larger than sepals, generally more or less widely obcordate, generally yellow; stamens generally 20; pistils generally many, styles generally jointed near tip. Fruit an achene.
