Pterocoryinae

Belongs within: Eucyrtidioidea.

The Pterocoryinae are a group of radiolarians with a conical test known from the Cretaceous to the present (Afanasieva et al. 2005).

Characters (from Afanasieva et al. 2005): Highly conical test. Cephalis variously constructed. Abdomen of same size as cephalis. Abdomen terminating sac-like or aperture possessing shelf or short tube of peristome.
