The Subulitoidea are an Ordovician to Permian group of gastropods lacking a sinus or slit in the outer lip (Knight et al. 1960).
Characters (Knight et al. 1960, as Subulitacea): Subulate, acicular to subglobular; commonly with anterior notch and columellar fold, though weakly developed in some, also basically with parietal fold; inner shell layers not sharply differentiated, not nacreous.
