Tetradellidae

Belongs within: Palaeocopida.

The Tetradellidae are a group of ostracods with lobed valves known from the Ordovician (Whatley et al. 1993).

Characters (from Benson et al. 1961): Straight-hinged with subequal valves; bilobate to quadrilobate; dimorphism by anterior and anteroventral loculi occupying position distal to carinate ridge, in some between velate structure and carinate ridge.
