Belongs within: Torymidae.
The Torymini are a group of torymid wasps in which the groove between the mesopleuron and metapleuron is straight or slightly curved, and the gaster is sessile or on a shiny, usually pale petiole. Most species are parasitoids of gall-forming or wood-boring insects; some are phytophagous seed-eaters (Bouček 1988).
In most genera, the gaster is sessile with the ovipositor being at most a little longer than the body in females. Odopoia has a long, dark, sculptured petiole and reticulate, dull pronotum. The genus Ecdamua has a pale, shiny petiole and the ovipositor is more than three times the length of the body. The Australian Ovidia conicicollis is a distinctively long, slender-bodied species with a conical pronotum, a lamellate scapus in the female that exceeds the vertex in height, and a long ovipositor covered in rough hairs (Bouček 1988).
