Xylariomycetidae

Microdochium nivale, copyright Tim Sage.

Belongs within: Sordariomycetes.
Contains: Amphisphaeriales, Xylariaceae.

The Xylariomycetidae are a clade of fungi recognised by molecular data, most of which have dark perithecia, amyloid asci, true paraphyses and periphysate ostioles (Hongsanan et al. 2017).
