Megascolex

Belongs within: Megascolecidae.

Megascolex is an Indo-Australian genus of earthworms.

Characters (Jackson 1931): More than eight setae per segment at least in middle and hinder regions of body. Spermathecal pores, two to five pairs between segments 4 to 9. One gizzard in segments 5, 6 or 7. Micronephridial. Spermiducal gland with branching lumen.
