Neanura is a genus of springtails with a bilobed sixth abdominal segment and lacking a postantennal organ (Christiansen & Bellinger 1980).
Characters (from Christiansen & Bellinger 1980): Last two antennal segments more or less fused; postantennal organ absent; maximum of six eyes per side; sixth abdominal segment bilobed; unguiculus absent; furcula reduced to knob or absent; anal spines absent.
