Discocyclinidae

Belongs within: Rotaliida.

The Discocylinidae are large orbitoidal foraminiferans known from the Late Palaeocene to Eocene. Representatives have rectangular equatorial chambers arranged in successive annuli with two layers of lateral chamberlets on both sides (BouDagher-Fadel 2008).
