Euplectopsis

Euplectopsis is a New Zealand genus of pselaphine beetles bearing four basal fossae on the elytra (Raffray 1903).

Characters (Raffray 1903): Palps with last article much larger than preceding. Prothorax oblong or cordate, with oblong discoidal fossa or more or less complete longitudinal groove. Elytra with four basal fossae and shortened dorsal stria. Prosternum keeled. Mesocoxae contiguous, processes of meso- and metasternum reduced to very thin blades hidden by coxae. Metacoxae contiguous. Abdomen with first and second tergites subequal; third and fourth tergites larger than others; last tergites sloping; first sternite small, more or less keeled between metacoxae; second sternite equal to next.
