Ilyocyprididae

Belongs within: Cypridocopina.

The Ilyocyprididae are a group of freshwater ostracods known from the Triassic to the present (Benson et al. 1961).

Characters (from Benson et al. 1961): Shell subquadrate, compressed, thickest posteriorly, with one or more dorsomedian sulci; dorsum straight, venter straight to slightly concave, ends rounded, anterior broader; left valve larger than right; surface pitted, tuberculate or spinose. Inner lamellae rather narrow.
