Decarthron

Belongs within: Pselaphinae.

Decarthron is a New World genus of pselaphine beetles with a median oval fossa on the underside of the head (Newton et al. 2001).

Characters (Newton et al. 2001): Body with distinct setae present over surface;
head ventrally with median oval fossa set off by carinoid edges; ten antennomeres; pronotum with lateral antebasal foveae indistinct and nude, or absent; discal striae on elytra present; metacoxae widely separated.
