Drupa is an Indo-Pacific genus of whelks with multi-pointed side cusps on the radular teeth (Wilson 1994).
Characters (Wilson 1994): Shells medium-sized, thick and spinose, low-spired, ventral side flat; anterior canal short, narrow, slightly upturned, posterior canal represented by sulcus across ventral side of outer lip below most posterior spine; aperture heavily, elaborately denticulate on both sides, labial teeth typically grouped but sometimes evenly spaced apart. Central teeth of radula tricuspid, side cusps bifid to quadrifid, outer margins denticulate; laterals simple, L-shaped.
