Fusinus is a cosmopolitan genus of gastropods with an elongate shell bearing a long siphonal canal (Wilson 1994).
Characters (Wilson 1994): Shells elongate, fusiform, spindle-shaped with tall spire and long siphonal canal; aperture with simple edge or finely crenulate; columella narrowly calloused but usually without folds; operculum nucleus apical.
