Myobatrachidae

The Myobatrachidae are an Australian family of frogs whose tadpoles lack external gills (Cogger 2018).

Characters (Cogger 2018): Arciferal pectoral girdle; intercalary cartilages absent; finger and toe discs small or absent, without lateral grooves; sacral diapophyses more or less dilated; eight presacral vertebrae, the first two of which are fused; maxillary teeth present or absent; tadpoles lacking external gills.
